Eusebia's story

Eusebia is a member of the Medallitas de Oro II communal bank, located in the district of Puno, province and department of Puno. She is 52 years old and married, with two children who live on their own. She studied only through the third grade.

She has been working with the Manuela Ramos Movement for five years. Her first loan was for the sum of 300 PEN, which she invested in her business selling groceries, candy, and soda.

She will request a new loan for the sum of 3,000 PEN, which she will use to buy soda, rice, sugar, cookies, and other supplies. Her daughter and her husband help her in the business. Her husband works in a hospital.

Her dream is to sell blankets and mattresses wholesale.

What she likes about the communal bank is the punctuality, the responsibility, and the understanding among the members.
