A loan of $4,000 helped a member to buy clothes to sell.

La Esperanza Group's story

This committee was created thanks to the initiative of one of its members, who invited her neighbors and friends to start a committee in her neighborhood. The name chosen for this committee is “La Esperanza” (“Hope”) in honor of the opportunities offered by Fundación Paraguaya, as these ladies will have new chances to star a better job, thus contributing to the income of their families and proving their children with a better standard of living. The group is composed of 18 members and they are actually working their tenth cycle.
María is the Director General of this committee. She engages in selling clothes and cosmetics in her neighborhood. She is a responsible and hardworking woman. She says that thanks to her job she has succeeded in providing for her family and in offering them at least the basic conditions for a decent and honorable life.
She is requesting a loan to buy items of clothing, in order to meet her customers’ requests. She is grateful to Fundación Paraguaya for the new chance she is being offered.
