A loan of $1,200 helped to buy seeds, manure and supplies for his crops, and to buy pigs to raise and sell.

Carlos Livigton's story

Carlos Livington is 43 years old. He is single and doesn't have any children. He lives with his parents in Chillanes canton, in Bolívar province.

The 'Unión y Progreso la Colombia Baja' community bank has fifteen members and is located 90 minutes from our cooperative. The members of this bank work in agriculture. They grow cacao, rice, corn, soy, bananas, oranges, etc.

Carlos is a farmer who grows cacao, rice, corn, soy and oranges. He makes both his purchases and his sales in San José del Tambo every weekend.

Carlos is requesting this loan to buy seeds, manure and supplies for his crops. He will also invest in buying pigs to raise and then sell.

The support of this loan will help Carlos to financially cover his needs. He faces very frequent challenges such as competition and pests.

Carlos' dream is to be able to buy a house and more hectares of land so that he can increase the amount of crops he grows and also his income. In his free time, he enjoys going out for walks with his parents so that they can enjoy themselves.
