A loan of $600 helped to buy compost, herbicides and fungicides.

Haydee Lonera's story

Haydee, 37, lives with her son. She is a single mother and has been farming for 4 years so she knows the profession well. She has learned new ways to make her crop productive. She learned from her father, thanks to whom she is now a hardworking woman.

To do her job, she needs farming inputs that she gets in the city because they're cheaper and it's not too far from where she lives.

She requests a loan from Fundacion Campo to buy agricultural inputs for the crops that are growing. Currently she needs compost, herbicides and fungicides to control the weeds and insects. With these inputs Haydee will be able to get an abundant harvest. This will allow her to take care of her financial problems and to improve her family's living conditions, which depend on her farming work.

In the future she hopes to increase the amount of farmland that she has, since this is her only source of income. With effort and work she wants to give her son a good education.
