Sophal's story

Sophal, 33, resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Chnang province, Cambodia, an area known for palm products. Sophal sells groceries, earning an income of $5 USD per day. Her husband is a local police officer, earning an income of $3.5 USD per day to help cover the family expenses.
Each month, the family has to spend $50 USD on food and $25 USD on other necessary expenses. Sophal is requesting a loan of $400 USD to purchase more groceries items to stock her store. This will be her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner.
