A loan of $850 helped to buy new tires, reupholster the seats of his vehicle, and pay for repairs to his taxi.

Gerardo's story

Don Gerardo is 31 years old and has been married to Sra. Aurelia for 10 years. Their children include 12-year-old Fabián who in his first year of high school, 10-year-old Adriana who is in fifth grade, and the youngest Diana Laura who is 4 months old. (Aurelia also has a loan with FRAC and each one of them will invest their respective funds in different business activities.)

Sr. Gerardo has a taxi and works every day, Monday through Sunday. He has been in this business for three years. Gerardo also has a fruit and vegetable stand that he manages by himself twice a week in the same community. He offers his goods to the neighbors in his community.

This time he is requesting a loan to invest in his taxi because it is in need of new parts, such as tires, and repairs to the seats. He will take his vehicle to a mechanic to have it checked because it is important for his taxi to provide good service so that his passengers feel comfortable and he can gain more customers.

Don Gerardo’s goal is to acquire another taxi so that he can increase his earnings. He says, “Thank you for this loan because it will be a great help in repairing my taxi so that I can accomplish my goal.”
