A loan of $900 helped a member to buy fabrics for making aprons and blouses.

Solidario Las Marias Group's story

The members of this group are married businesswomen. They sell traditional clothing.

Doña Angélica Maria, the leader of the group, has an embroidery workshop in her home and works with an industrial machine. She produces large quantities of blouses and aprons in different designs and colors, thereby making her a supplier of these goods.

Doña María Vicenta and María Estela are street merchants who sell in the neighborhoods of their town.

Doña Angélica came up with the idea of requesting a loan in order to help her fellow group members with their businesses. For her part, Angélica is requesting a loan to buy fabrics for making aprons and blouses. Each day she has different goals and dreams for her work and her family.
