Yamen is a 33-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and two young children.
In 2009, he opened a small shop in his town where he sells a wide range of mobile phones. With his loan request of $1200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l., he will be able to increase his merchandise selection of new mobile phones to sell. He reports that both his business sales and income will be increased as a result of the loan.
In the future, he is looking to further expand his business and increase his capital.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
