A loan of $2,000 helped a member to buy chicks and chicken feed.

Lambano Women Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe!!! This is 34-year-old Priscilla from Gweru, the married mother of an 11-year-old who is in school. Her husband is a music promoter.

Priscilla has been running a poultry business for two years, selling chickens in Gweru. She says her challenges are cash shortages due to late payments and the high mortality rates of chicks.

Priscilla has applied for a loan of USD400 to buy chicks and chicken feed and to build a dressing room. The extra income arsing from the loan will enhance her family's living standard and facilitate business growth. In the future, she plans to build bigger and more fowl runs to increase her sales of chicks and chickens.
