A loan of $2,550 helped a member to buy costume jewelry making supplies.

Mujeres Luchadoras Group's story

This committee was formed thanks to Estela who contacted her neighbors and friends in order to form a committee in their neighborhood. The committee is called “Mujeres Luchadoras” in honor of the fact that thanks to Fundación Paraguaya they will have a new opportunity to get ahead and each one of them will contribute to her household income to provide their children with a better education and wellbeing.

One of the group members is Mirna. She sells costume jewelry which makes it possible for her to earn income to cover family expenses. She’s a responsible, hardworking, humble person who very much wants to progress in life. She relates that all her sacrifice is always for her family because she always wants to provide the best for them, giving a life that’s proper and decent.

She requests the loan to buy beads, tweezers, wire, pearls and other needs supplies to make the costume jewelry she sells.
