A loan of $875 helped to buy sheets, blankets, and other items to sell.

Mario's story

Mario, 42, is married to Candida, 37. They live in their own house. He is a street vendor; that is, he sells all types of items in the street, such as sheets, blankets, bedspreads, and others. He says he has been doing this work for more than 12 years. His wife helps him, since she makes bedspreads that he then sells. Thanks to their joint effort, together they manage to pay the household expenses that come up on a daily basis.

Mario is very self-sacrificing, since on the weekend he goes to the capital and the outskirts to sell his products, covering several kilometers on his motorcycle to make door-to-door sales. Mario went to Argentina to work at a young age, and he met his wife there. After several years he managed to gather some capital to come back to Paraguay and go into sales. Currently he has a fixed clientele because of his good service and the good quality of his products.

Mario is requesting the loan to buy blankets, sheets, and other items, with which he will be able to fulfill his customers' orders.
