A loan of $925 helped to buy vegetables and spices.

Zoila's story

Zoila, 70, is a very responsible and happy member of the Nuestra Señora de la Paz communal bank. She is single and has four children (one adopted daughter) on their own. She lives alone, but she has the full support of her daughter who lives in Tarapoto.

Zoila has worked independently her whole life, as she tells it. She has a little stall in a market in Tarapoto where she sells her vegetables, coffee, and spices every day until noon.

For four years she has been part of the Manuela Ramos organization and she is happy about this opportunity to receive a loan. With her current loan of 2,500 PEN she will buy products for her business, vegetables and spices wholesale.

Her dream is to continue working and save more to be able to have a good retirement. She tells us that she has made friends in Manuela Ramos and that she enjoys the meetings.
