A loan of $1,100 helped to purchase merchandise for her store.

Flor Elisa's story

Flor Elisa is a member of the Communal Bank “Mujeres Valerosas II” (Valiant Women II) which is located in the District of Tarapoto, Department of San Martín. She is 24 years old and lives at her mother’s house with her partner and their six-year-old son.

Flor has always liked the idea of being independent. As a young girl, she enjoyed selling bananas on the street. Flor started her own store four years ago with 100 PEN. She has an established customer base and many pedestrians who pass through the area since her shop is located along the road in front of some farms near her home. There is great demand for her business. Her dream is to become a wholesaler so she plans to build a new house.

This new loan of 3000 PEN will be invested in the purchase of new products for her store, such as basic necessities. Flor is grateful for the support Manuela Ramos has provided and says that she likes the short repayment terms. She also enjoys the educational classes, especially the ones that focus on customer service.
