A loan of $800 helped to buy seeds, compost, fertilizers, and urea.

Christian Israel's story

Christian Israel is 24 years old, single, and lives with his family and his two-year-old son in Ventanas in Los Ríos Province.

The Communal Bank “Luchar Para Triunfar” (Fight to Win) is located in the La Poza section of the town called “10 de Noviembre” (November 10th) in the canton of Ventanas. The members of this Communal Bank engage in various businesses ranging from agriculture to retail.

Christian is a farmer who grows corn, rice, and cacao. The loan he is requesting will be used to buy seeds, compost, fertilizers, and urea so that he can increase his output.

This loan will be a great help since he can buy the compost for maintaining good conditions for his crops. The challenges he faces on a frequent basis are the competition and pests. Christian dreams of supporting his family financially by providing food and purchasing a car for transporting and selling his products.

In his free time Christian enjoys practicing sports, especially indoor soccer.
