A loan of $600 helped to buy hogs, feed, and vaccines.

Maria Auxiliadora's story

María Auxiliadora is a single 35 year old mother of three - of ages 14, 9, and 5 - who lives with her family in the Ventanas Canton of Los Rios Province in Ecuador.

The Luchar para Triunfar ["Fight to Win"] communal bank is located in the Poza sector of the 10 de Noviembre district of Ventanas. The members of the communal bank engage in various lines of work, ranging from agriculture to retail.

María raises and sells hogs and she buys her feed at the Murillo shopping center. She is requesting this loan to buy hogs, feed, and vaccines so as to prevent the death of her hogs. This loan will be a great help to her by allowing her to buy feed and vaccines so that her hogs will be in good condition and ready for sale.

The most frequent challenges facing her are competition and sickness. Her dream is to be able to support her children in their studies so they can graduate. In her free time she likes to listen to music and spend time with her family.
