A loan of $1,125 helped to purchase livestock.

Gulmira's story

Gulmira is 50 years old, divorced and has one son. Gulmira started her animal husbandry business in 1991 with a capital of 12,000 som (KGS). Today, thanks to her persistence and diligence, her farms brings in an income of about 8,000 som (KGS) per month. To reduce her animal feed expenses, Gulmira sends livestock to a pasture during the summer and sells fattened-up livestock at local markets during autumn. To further develop her business, Gulmira requested a loan in the sum of 50,000 som from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy livestock. She plans to also expand her farm by buying foals and calves.
