Shakhlohon's story

Shakhlohon is 45 years old, a widow and has two children. In search of a consistent income for her children, Shakhlohon became involved in animal husbandry ten years ago. Thanks to her hard work and persistence, she was able to develop her farm to yield a monthly income of about 15,000 som (KGS) and have four cows and two heifers today. To find an additional source of profit for her family, entrepreneurial Shakhlohon also started to sell clothing at the local market, and this allows her to cover daily expenses. To further develop her animal husbandry business, she requested a loan in the sum of 120,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to purchase cattle. In the future, Shakhlohon plans to prepare a good dowry for her daughter, thanks to the profits from the loan.
