Huaycheñitas Group's story

The communal bank "Huaychenitas" will start its fourth loan cycle with Pro Mujer, in the Germán Busch central office. This group has 8 members who are led by a board of directors headed by Elizabeth. The members of this group have a variety of businesses that they are working on, including clothing sales, a store, macrame, animal sales, making stringed instruments, and peanut sales.

Elizabeth states that she joined the communal bank in Pro Mujer two and a half years ago at the invitation of a loan officer. Now she has a business making stringed instruments. She learned this trade from her husband, and she has been doing this work for 7 years.

The loan that she will take now will be used to increase her capital (to buy wood and strings.) She will buy her materials from the warehouses, and sell her instruments in the markets. This type of work allows her to generate resources to support her family as best she can. She is married and has one child.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responded that she likes the training.

In this group: Elizabeth, Alicia Celia, Marisol , Elsa, Victoria , Dolores Florencia, Celia , Benedicta
