A loan of $550 helped to purchase seeds and fertilizer.

Clotilde's story

Clotilde belongs to the "Virgen Del Carmen De Yuncaypata" Community Bank located 30 minutes from the city of Cusco in a village called Yuncaypata. This typical village maintains its pure Andean heritage, and the entire community supports each other during the planting and harvest seasons, caring for children and animals. This is a very beautiful place where Quechua is spoken, and it's in the department of Cusco, Peru. Clotilde is 44 years old, married and has four children, ages 23, 21, 18 and 3. She works in agriculture and also has a taxi along with husband, who works as a driver. She takes the products her land produces, generally potatoes and vegetables, to market on Saturdays. Clotilde is requesting the loan to purchase seeds, fertilizer and a tractor for her land. She feels grateful and values the loan through this medium, and she promises to be as disciplined with her payments as she has been with her past loans.
