A loan of $4,375 helped a member to increase his stock in second-hand clothes and to finish building his small house.


Kasi Mpya Group's story

Daudi, who is his mid 20s, is married with a small child. He has been selling second-hand clothes for one year now. He works from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be his 3rd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to buy a piece of land and started to build a small two-roomed house. He also increased the clothes sales and has paid back both his loans successfully. He wants a loan to increase his stock in second-hand clothes and to finish building his small house. His dream is to one day be able to take his child to good standard schools.

He will share this loan with his loan group "Kasi Mpya" which has a total of 15 members who will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.
