A loan of $675 helped to buy clothes.

Virginia Amable's story

Virginia is a member of the “Eugenio Espejo” communal bank. She lives in Baños Parish. There are many thermal springs here and lots of places to visit. It has a varied cuisine that’s typical of the place. Its people are kind and maintain the culture and traditions of the region.

Virginia is 40 years old, separated and has two children who are 23 and 21 years old. Her oldest son is married and independent and her daughter is going to the city’s university. She does not own a house; she lives in a family member’s house.

Virginia works as a private employee. She’s had this job for a year and works all day Monday through Saturday. In her free time she sells clothes and has been doing this activity for 21 years.

She’s in her second loan with the communal bank and will use it to buy pants, t-shirts, blouses and children’s clothes to continue growing in her business. Her goal is to have her own clothing store.
