Juana's story

Doña Juana is 45 years old and lives in a common law relationship with her partner Francisco, who works on a farm. Together they have four children, who are all still dependent on them, as all four are in different grades in school from elementary to high school. Their oldest is 16 years old and the youngest is 11.

Señora Juana has a grocery store this is just called "Miscelánea" [Miscellaneous]. She has 5 years of experience in this business. She is requesting a loan to stock her store by purchasing eggs, bread, soft drinks, canned goods, detergent, oil, milk, and sweets. The problem she is having that she doesn't have enough to stock her store and she has very little merchandise. For this reason she is requesting a loan. Her goals are to grow her business to increase her income since her location is very small and barely fits a refrigerator.

"Thank you for the loan you have given me. I am going to try very hard to remain in good-standing with you."
