La señora Simona, es comerciante de ají y viaja por todo el pais dos veces al mes comprando y vendiendo el producto; su esposo es chofer y también tiene un equipo de amplificación con el cual presta servicios de DJ en acontecimientos sociales. El crédito lo solicita para incrementar el capital de trabajo y comprar mayor cantidad de ají, pues es un producto que ella comercializa exitosamente. Simona vive en casa alquiler ubicado en la zona de Villa Esperanza en la ciudad de El Alto; es casada y tiene tres hijos. Simona tiene una relación con IMPRO desde el año 2006 y los créditos le han ayudado muchisimo en mejorar la calidad de vida de ella y su familia. Esta es la segunda vez que su préstamo es canalizado a través de Kiva.

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.

To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
