Khvicha is from Samtredia, Imereti District. He is 44 years old and lives with his family: wife – Inga, 5 year old son, 4 year old daughter and 73 year old mother (retired). The main source of the income for the family is agriculture. In particular, they grow 500 nut trees and 100 vine trees on a family-owned 0.5 hectare piece of land. Khvicha sells harvested nuts and grapes at the local market. Grapes are sold in fall and nuts are sold in late winter and early spring, as their price reaches maximum by that time.

Khvicha has requested credit to purchase nuts. He will process and sell them, together with his harvest, in late winter/early spring for the higher price. He will get additional income, which will be used for the family's well-being.
