A loan of $550 helped to buy pigs and animal feed.

Rosa Clotilde's story

Rosa is a member of the "Siempre Amigas" communal bank. She lives in the community of Parroquia del Valle. This is a place known for its natural abundance and lovely landscapes. Its inhabitants are warm and friendly, and maintain the culture and traditions of their people. She is a small business owner, raises animals, and farms.

Rosa is 41, married, with three children. Two are married and independent, and her unmarried daughter works, and helps her financially. Her husband is a master carpenter, and works in a workshop. They own the house where they live. Rosa has been working as a maid for two months; she works from Monday to Saturday, all day long. She raises chickens in her home.

She is on her second loan from the communal bank, and she is going to use it to buy pigs and animal feed in order to increase her business. Her goal is to fix her house.
