A loan of $1,100 helped to buy furniture and construction materials for his radio station.

Tony's story

22-year old Tony is a straightforward and hardworking young man. He lives alone in his own house; his greatest wish is to get ahead in life so he makes a great effort every day.

He is a presenter for Radio 'Amistad', a station found in the community of Santa Rosa in the Ayacuchana rainforest. This work is his main source of income so he has dedicated his life to doing it well. His efforts have paid off as this is the main station for Santa Rosa and the most listened to. As a result he earns a good income from his work. He most enjoys programming music and monitoring the programs to ensure that they have suitable content. He's been doing this job for three years. The most difficult part is being at the radio station for almost twelve hours every day--it's very tiring.

Tony hopes to continue expanding the business since he considers it his vocation. This will be his fifth loan with MFP, and he promises to repay it according to the schedule as he wishes to access more loans in the future. He is sure that he can count on the support of donors so he can continue to prosper. The money from the loan will be used to improve the station's facilities, and to buy furniture and construction material to provide more comfort for visitors.
