The “ESTRELLAS DE BELEN” [Stars of Belen] communal bank started its first cycle in Pro Mujer as a part of the Panamericana center. It is made up of six members and led by a board of directors of which Maria is the president. The businesses that the members of the communal bank run are varied. Amon them, there are: selling clothes, socks, and blankets.

María indicates that this is the first time that she has with Pro Mujer and she joined the institution at the invitation of a member. At present, she has a business selling blankets that she has been working at for several years.

The loan she will take out is to increase her capital (buying blankets) that she will acquire in the department of Oruro and later sell in her store. This work will allow her to generate income to support her family. She is in a common law marriage and has four children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she answers that she likes the savings and the guarantee.

La A.C. “ESTRELLAS DE BELEN” iniciará su primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del centro focal Panamericana, está compuesta por seis integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva de la cual la señora Maria es la presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos tenemos: venta de ropa, venta de medias, venta de frazadas

La señora María, indica que es la primera vez que trabaja en Pro Mujer y que integro la institución por invitación de una socia. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio venta de frazadas que viene trabajando desde hace muchos años atrás.

El préstamo que sacará es para aumentar su capital (compra de frazadas) que adquirirá del departamento de Oruro y posteriormente lo comercializará en su tienda. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar a su familia, pues ella vive en unión libre y tiene cuatro hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el ahorro y la garantia.
