A loan of $1,275 helped a member to buy wool.

Libertad San Francisco Group's story

The group “LIBERTAD SAN FRANCISCO” is beginning their first loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Focal Center of Germán Busch. The group is composed of nine members, directed by a managing board headed by Señora Veronica. The members of the communal association carry out various businesses, among them we have: sale of gelatin, weaving of blankets, weaving of alpaca sweaters, buying and selling of sheep, sale of vegetables, and machine weaving. Señora Veronica indicates that this is the first year that she has started a communal association in Pro Mujer, entering at the invitation of an advisor. Currently she has a blanket weaving business, that she has been working for several years. She learned her position from her friends.

The loan that is requested now is for the increase of capital to pay for the purchase of wool that she bought at the market on July 16 and that she will later sell in her position at the market. This form of work permits her to generate resources to support her family. She is married and has four children.

When she is asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she likes the meetings.

In this group: Veronica , Alejandra, Emiliana , Gregoria , Teresa, Tomasa , Magaly, Eva, Betty
