Moussa is a 31-year-old married man from Lebanon. He is living with his wife and two school-aged children. He has been running a clothing store since 2004. He always presents the newest clothes collections in order to attract more customers to his shop. He is the main income source of the family. Today, he is requesting to borrow $1,200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to expand his store’s inventory for the coming winter season. He says the loan will help him diversify his merchandise selection. In the future, he is hoping to sell shoes by adding a corner in his store for this purpose.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
