Zaza's story

Zaza is from the village Giorgitsminda. He is 37 years old and lives with his wife Nina and two sons (19 and 11 years old). Their younger son goes to school and the elder one helps his parents on the family farm.

Zaza runs a dairy farm. He has 4 milk cows. He and Nina produce 80 kg cheese per month and sell it locally. Also he has a car and brings wood from the forest, which is sold in the village.

Zaza requests a loan for purchasing calves. He will raise them and sell grown calves by spring for a higher price. One part of the loan will be used for purchasing the feed for cows and calves for the winter months. Zaza will spend the profits for purchasing new household goods, in order to make the house comfortable and improve the living conditions of the family members.
