A loan of $1,100 helped to buy coffee plants.

Faustina's story

Faustina is 35, and a hard-working woman. She lives in a rented house with her two dear daughters, Cintia 16, and Maylin 14, to whom she wishes to offer a better quality of life. The fields that Faustina has cultivated with so much effort have always provided her with the income necessary to raise her daughters. She grows cacao, coffee, and coca leaves. Once harvested, she sells them to the different middlemen who buy these products. What she most likes about her work is planting her land, and she does it with a lot of patience. She has been doing this work for 15 years, and considers that protecting her crops from insect infestations is her most difficult challenge. To provide a better future for the members of her family, she hopes to have the strength and energy to continue working her land, and for that she entrusts herself to God every morning. This will be her second loan with MFP. She knows that the money from the loan will be very useful in advancing her work. For that, she once again thanks the lenders for allowing her to work with them. With the 3,000 nuevos soles, she will buy coffee plants in order to expand her production.
