Nueva Generación Centro (Cuenca) Group's story

The “Nueva Generación Centro” communal bank has 10 women members who are friends and know each other. They live in various parts of the city of Cuenca. This city is the country’s third most important. It has natural, architectural and cultural wealth. Its varied cuisine conquers the palates of locals and foreigners alike. Its residents are cultured and kind just like our members who are very cheerful, charismatic and hard working and who are dedicated to various activities that make it possible for them to contribute to their homes’ economy.

One of the members is Lourdes. She lives in the city of Cuenca. This is the first loan she’s taken out in the communal bank that she was invited to join by her mother.

Our member is 31 years old, married and has a 4-year-old daughter. Her husband’s a driver by profession and works for a private firm. The house they live in is the fruit of their labor as a couple.

Lourdes is dedicated to caring for her daughter who is still little but to help with household expenses she’s been selling Yanbal products for the last three years; she also sells Omnilife products. She sells her products to friends and acquaintances.

She will use her loan to buy Yanbal brand cosmetics and Omnilife brand natural products to grow in her activity. Her goal is to buy a vehicle.

The three small attached photos are of three members who due to personal reasons were unable to be present when the group photo was taken.
