A loan of $850 helped to outfit his shop and buy work-related materials..

Kodzo's story

Kodzo B. was born in Davié in 1976. There, he went to school until the 7th grade. Thinking himself old enough, he no longer wanted to attend school. Instead, he wished to pursue his dream of making shoes, so he trained as a shoemaker. He currently owns his own shop, called «Viens Voir», or Come and See, where he makes men’s shoes and women’s sandals. He is married and the father of a child. Because of the quality of his work, his customer base is growing to the point where he has trouble meeting the demand due to a lack of funds.

Brimming with the will to succeed, Mr. B. is requesting a loan of $850 to re-outfit his shop and to buy work-related materials. He will then be able to open an outlet in the heart of the city of Tsévié. This loan will allow him to increase his profit margin, which will as a result improve the living conditions of his family.
