A loan of $1,150 helped to buy bananas and citrus fruits.

Nancy's story

Nancy, 49, is a cheerful, hard-working woman who has a common-law husband and two adult children. They live in their own house. Nancy's work begins very early in the morning when she goes to the market in "Campo Verde" (a city district) where she has a stall. She sells ice, fruit, bananas and other regional products, and has been in business for approximately four years. She works alone and is well known because of the quality products she sells. What she enjoys about her work is the fact that it leaves time for her to have other activities. This is because she only works in the mornings. Her goal is to get ahead through her sales. This will be her seventh loan through MFP and she is very comfortable in her group because of how responsible the people are. She hopes to continue receiving support so she can expand her business. The loan will be used to buy products such as bananas and citrus fruits.
