A loan of $1,500 helped to buy merchandise for her store and a power generator.

Nada's story

Since 2007, Nada, a 44-year-old married mother of four, has been the proud owner of a small grocery store selling sweets, soft drinks, canned products, vegetables, ice cream and tobacco. Because the store is a very important source of family income, Nada is requesting a loan of $1500 from Kiva partner Al Majmoua to increase her purchases of new oil, sugar, rice, canned products and tobacco, as well as a power generator to provide electricity when it's not available to keep the refrigerators and freezers working.

This will be Nada's first Kiva loan, and we note that she is working hard on expanding her business and increasing her capital.
