A loan of $1,425 helped a member to purchase a cow.

Labarhan's Group's story

Labarhan is the leader of this group. She is 61 years old and married to a taxi driver. Labarhan is a retiree and in order to earn money for her livelyhood she breeds cattle. The family started cattle breeding activity in 1990 with an initial investment of 30,000 soms. By reselling the cattle after fattening and selling the dairy products, Labarhan earns about 2,600 soms per month. This profit made it possible to save money and build a house for her son. With money received from the loan, she wants to purchase a cow to increase the number of cattle. In the near future, Labarhan plans to celebrate her younger son’s wedding.
