A loan of $850 helped buy raw materials and supplies to handle ornamentation jobs.

Clara Nelly's story

Clara lives in Bogotá, Colombia’s beautiful capital, with her two children, 7 and 18 years old. She works in ornamentation, metallurgy, and manufactures railings, doors, windows, banisters, and ornamentation, a business she has had for more than 3 years. Her greatest challenge has been changing her location several times, while continuing to maintain contact and an image with her customer base. Her business has grown slowly, and has enjoyed the financial support of the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation, since 2005, when she began her business with her former crafts activities, with which she connected with that organization. Her goal is to have a supply of finished goods, to exhibit and publicize them in the market. But to achieve this goal, her working capital is inadequate, and this is precisely the reason for which she comes to credikiva, second financing made to the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation, with which she will buy raw materials and supplies to handle the ornamentation jobs commissioned, and with which she plans to decrease her costs, through discounts by paying in cash and buying larger volumes from her suppliers, and this will mean a successful investment.
