The communal bank "Union" is starting its 6th loan cycle with Pro Mujer, in the Santiago II central office. This group has 8 members and is led by a board of directors headed by Faustina. The members of this communal bank have a variety of businesses such as the sale of: milkshakes, clothing, vegetables, newspapers, meat and also the production of sportswear.

Faustina states that this is her 6th year working with Pro Mujer, which she joined at the recommendation of her niece. Now she has had a milk shake business for 6 years, a business that she learned from her daughter.

The loan that she will take now will be used to increase her capital to purchase sugar and bicervecina (a non-alcoholic malt beverage.) She will buy these products in the market, and she will sell her milkshakes at the schools. This type of work allows her to generate resource so that she can support her family as best she can. She is married and has 4 children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she answered that she likes the health care services, the loans and the savings accounts.
