A loan of $3,400 helped a member to purchase ground nut paste for retail.

Mampatim 02 Group's story

Created in July 2008, group Mampatim 02 has gone through more than five cycles in the “Banc Villageois” program. It is composed of 22 women who reside in the same village. Their main activity is retail.

Mrs. Bobo, who is standing all the way to the right, is the group’s leader. She is 54 years old, married and a mother of seven. She has five other close relatives in her care.

She retails groundnut paste at the various weekly markets of neighboring villages, and has been in this business for over five years. Her previous occupation was selling vegetables.

Her new loan will allow her to purchase groundnut paste to resell. Profit from this activity will help her to purchase goats or sheep on the one hand, and to help her husband provide for the family’s expenses on the other.
