A loan of $2,525 helped to buy wicker furniture and baskets and resell them in eastern Ukraine.

Vasyl's story

Vasyl is married. He has three children. He lives in the village of Iza, Zakarpatskaya Region. Vasyl buys wicker products, more specifically furniture and baskets, and sells them at markets across the Ukraine. His goods are always of high quality. He has a good vending location. He has been selling these wares for 13 years.

Vasyl plans to use his loan of 20,000 UAH in order to stock up on wicker products and resell them in Eastern Ukraine. Because the competition in his village is high, Vasyl plans to travel to the eastern part of the country, where this type of goods is highly sought after and it is possible to earn decent revenues. After making a larger investment in his business, Vasyl hopes to increase his revenues and pay college tuition for two of his children.
