A loan of $2,700 helped to buy a caterpillar tractor.

Sargis's story

Sargis is forty-one years old, and he was born and raised in the village of Shikahogh. After graduating from a local school, he entered Kapan College as a student. Shikahogh is a border town and, during the Nagorno-Karaback conflict, Sargis was an active member of his village's defense. He lives alone and receives a military pension.

In 2010, Sargis began the sale of groceries. He buys them in the city of Kapan and works without holidays. Additionally, he works morning's and evening's on his farm. Sargis breeds livestock, chickens and grows vegetables. His small plot of land is used as pasture for his cows. Buyers from Kapan's market purchase beef, milk, eggs and vegetables from him for resale on the market.

Sargis plans to buy a caterpillar tractor and find work during the plowing season. He's asking for a loan of 1,000,000 drams.
