Kigombya A(I) Group's story

This group has been together for one year. Florence is 38 years old and married with four children. She sells African crafts for a living. With the increased business profits, she intends to pay school fees for her children and re-invest in her business. Justine sells new clothes and wants to use the loan to increase her stock. Federesi sells local brew. Hawa has a retail shop, while Rose sells raw food in the market.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
