A loan of $750 helped to buy balanced feed for his cows and to provide maintenance on his mototaxi.

Vicente Anastacio's story

Vicente, age 49, lives with his wife and children in his own house. The only service the house has is water. It is located in a rural zone in the Lambayeque department. The business activities in the zone are farming, livestock, and tourism.

Vicente has been raising and selling cattle for several years. His corral is in the part outside of his house. He feeds them balanced feed and natural fodder. He does this in order to have good milk production. He sells the milk to the people living in the area. He has fixed customers because of the good quality of the milk he has. His income covers his family obligations.

He recently acquired a second hand “mototaxi” (three wheeled motorized vehicle). He did this to work with his mototax during his free time and to get an extra income for his house.

He has requested a loan for 2,000 soles from Edpyme Alternativa. The loan is to buy balanced feed and to provide maintenance on the mototaxi that he has acquired. With both incomes he will be able to pay for his loan and improve the quality of life for his family.

Vicente is a hard-working and responsible person. The only thing he wants is for his children to have educational opportunities.
