A loan of $1,100 helped to buy building supplies to improve the infrastructure of his home.

Orlando's story

30-year-old Orlando is a sociable and hard-working man who lives in his own home in the community of Quillabamba. The green fields of the tropical rainforest have been a very pleasant place for Orlando to work throughout his life. His parents taught him this work when he was very young and now he owns his own plots of land where he works on his cacao, coffee, banana and peanut crops with a lot of care and sacrifice. He has 2 hectares of land in total.

What Orlando most enjoys about his work is harvesting his land as that is when he feels that the months of hard work are providing their reward in the quality of his fruit. He has been in this business for eight years and he considers the most difficult part of his work to be transporting his crops from his community to the storage warehouses in the towns of Quimbiri and San Francisco.

Orlando will use the loan he has requested to buy materials with which to refurbish his home. Over time, he hopes to be able to put together enough money to buy new land so that he can then leave them to his beloved children as an inheritance. This will be Orlando's first loan and he is very happy to know that he will have the support of each of you and thereby be able to make progress. He will use his 3,000 soles to buy building supplies with which to refurbish his home.
