A loan of $1,100 helped to buy three bags of pea seeds and ten bags of natural fertilizer.

Reydo's story

Reydo, age 41, is a hard-working and very dynamic man. He is married to Ana, and they have three children whom they care for and educate in their own house. The house is in the Patay settlement.

Reydo worked his parents’ productive fields at a very young age. Now that he has his wife he works with her planting potatoes and peas. He also grows flowers, but in a small quantity. Working the land gives Reydo much satisfaction. Before beginning his daily tasks, he chews coca leaves so that he doesn’t feel tired during the day’s hard work. He surveys his fields as he works.

He now has 21 years of experience. He tells us that after the crops are gathered, he hires a truck to transport them to the wholesale market in Tarma where buyers are waiting. He listens patiently to all the bidders in order to choose the best one.

He has now planted good quality gladiolas and peas. He is sure that the harvest will be very successful. He also states that thanks to farming he was able to get all of his fields. He therefore plans to continue planting in greater quantities.

He belongs to the Santa Cruz de Patay Communal Bank. This is his 14th loan with MFP. He has demonstrated himself to be punctual with each one of his repayments. Also, he is happy to belong to one of the best communal banks. Upon receiving your support Reydo will buy three bags of pea seeds that he will plant. He will also buy ten bags of natural fertilizer to spread during the first months of growth.
