A loan of $750 helped to buy 2 bags of pea seeds and sacks of fertilizer.

Mari's story

Mari is 35 years old and an exemplary woman. She has lived with her husband Jeremías for 9 years. They both have 2 children, Britney and Noe, who they take care of and educate in their own house. The house is located in the village of Patay. When she started her family, her main economic activity was agriculture. After a while, her husband started to work in a mine where he received a good, steady salary. Since then, she has been farming alone, deciding which crops to grow. However, 10 years of experience helped her to maintain a stable production of peas, potatoes and gladioli flowers all of which she takes good care of. She sells all her crops at harvest time at the wholesale market in the city of Tarma. According to her, she was able to obtain 5 pieces of productive land in different locations thanks to her farming. This allows her to streamline her crops according to the season. In addition, she also has a business selling burgers and shoestring fries with hot dogs which she sells at the weekends and lets her make a little extra money. She now wants to improve the infrastructure of her house. Her philosophy is to work hard which is why she is sure she will reach her goal. She belongs to the communal bank "Santa Cruz de Patay". This is her 8th loan with MFP and she hopes for the economic support of all of you so she can reach her goals. In addition, she promises to be punctual with her repayments. Mari, on receiving your support, will invest the loan sought in the purchase of 2 bags of pea seeds for her next planting season and natural fertilizers for the first few months of seed maturation.
