Mohamed Alie's Group's story

Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT) is very pleased to present to you this group of teachers from Waterloo, a small town near Freetown. They have come to SMT, a partner of Kiva.org in Makeni, northern Sierra Leone, to seek a loan of 13,200,000 SLL in order to solve their immediate financial challenges. At the end of each month, they will repay their loan using their monthly salaries.

The leader of this group is Mohamed. Born in the northern town of Kabala, Mohamed is 48 years old. He is married and has three children. Mohamed has requested a loan of 2,500,000 SLL in order to pay school fees for his children.
