Maximiliana's story

Maximiliana is a 54-year-old mother of a very happy and hardworking family. She lives with her son, Maycon, in a house inherited from her mother. Her biggest wish is to improve their quality of life.

The products that Maximiliana has farmed with so much effort and dedication have helped her to progress in life. Every morning, she starts to work on her fields. She knows that the quality of her harvest will depend on the care she brings to her potato and pea crops.

What she enjoys most about her work is caring for her crops because she feels pleased when the harvest is large and abundant. Maximiliana has been been farming for 24 years and considers the most difficult part to be carrying her harvest to the market in Tarma, the place where she sells, because the sacks are extremely heavy. She also raises bulls and sheep, which she can sell if necessary.

Going forward, she hopes to improve her produce as a means to obtain better prices. She belongs to the “Señor de Muruhuay” communal bank. This is her fourth loans with the MFP, where she knows that she must submit her payments on time and is willing to do so.
