A loan of $1,850 helped a member to buy materials such as thread, for making hammocks.

Cascabeles Group's story

Rosa del Carmen lives in the Asunción neighborhood. She is in a common-law relationship with Julio Cesar, and they have 3 children that they are responsible for. She is applying for the loan to buy materials for making hammocks. She has been doing this work for 7 years, and it's going very well, since it is helping her a lot with her income. The reason she started is because her husband also makes hammocks. She saw that it was a good business, and decided to support him in doing the work; since the more days a week they work, the better their earnings. Her greatest wish is that with her small business, help from the lenders, and with God's help, she can continue working in order to help her small family get ahead in life. The group is called "Cascabeles", and these are the members who make up the group: María, who will use the loan to to buy ingredients for making Mexican snacks, María Rosenda who will use it to buy automotive tools, Flavio who will use it to buy tools for his sheet metal shop, and lastly, Flavio Cesar, who will buy tools for his auto repair shop.
