A loan of $775 helped to buy flour for making bread.

Marcos Antonio's story

Marcos Antonio owns the Emanuel bakery. From very early in the morning, he and his workers make bread to serve to customers in their community and also in surrounding communities. Marcos Antonio tells us that he worked in this business from a very young age alongside his dad. Ten years ago, he decided to travel to the north in search of better opportunities. He said that it wasn't easy at all being there because he had to leave his wife and children behind but, because of his love for them, he worked hard there. He has now been in Guatemala for three years and and is happy because his hard work has paid off. He has his own bakery and his wish is to continue growing his business. His biggest wish, however, is for his four children to graduate. Marcos Antonio needs this loan to buy flour with which to make bread as his business requires it.
